Overview
DURHAM CONTINUING EDUCATION – NIGHT SCHOOL TEACHERS AND NIGHT SCHOOL SUPPLY TEACHERS. This role is part of Durham District School Board’s Durham Continuing Education program, offering credit night school courses to a variety of learners each semester. This year, students may have a live in-person environment or a synchronous online format; modality will be determined by student demand.
Position
DURHAM CONTINUING EDUCATION – SEMESTER 1 NIGHT SCHOOL TEACHERS — Senior English, Senior Math, Senior Sciences and Humanities. In-person classes run from 6:00pm to 9:15pm on Mondays and Wednesdays at R.S. McLaughlin CVI, Oshawa (5:45pm–9:30pm arrival). The online synchronous delivery follows the same hours and can be delivered from a flexible location. You must deliver the Ontario Curriculum for the assigned course(s).
Qualifications
- OCT qualified teachers in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers with senior qualifications in English, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Humanities.
- Experience teaching the above disciplines in Durham Region.
- Experience working with adults is an asset.
- Excellent technology skills, experience using Google Classroom and Google Workspace and D2L.
