This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR Advice and Support service supporting the delivery of professional HR advice and support in conjunction with the HR Business Partner and Strategic HR Business Partner. This post forms part of the corporate HR commitment to support the council and its schools in the delivery of its aims, objectives, workforce strategies and action plans. You will be working full time, 37 hours, term time plus 2 weeks with schools and education.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

You will provide a quality advice and support service to all our services across the council, schools, and external customers. This would include, but not limited to, advice and guidance on:

  • terms and conditions
  • employee relations
  • disciplinary
  • grievance
  • absence
  • capability
  • reorganisation and restructures
  • change management
  • performance management

You will continue to build and strengthen the team’s commercial reputation in delivering quality HR services to schools and academies. You will be required to work outside of the standard working day on a regular basis through attendance at evening governing body meetings. This post is part of the School’s HR team, supporting schools and organisations, who access the service through a paid for Service Level Agreement. You will be customer focused with the ability to deliver HR advice and support in a timely and consistent manner.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You should have CIPD Level 3 or equivalent in a related subject and have experience of providing HR operational advice and guidance. Please refer to the attached Person Specification for the full criteria.

INTERVIEWS
