WHAT IS INVOLVED? At our Joint Committees, we place the needs of the bereaved at the heart of everything we do. Our crematoria and cemeteries are known for their professionalism, sensitivity, and high standards. With approximately 3,779 cremations annually and a Gold standard accreditation from the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM), we are proud to be ranked as the seventh best performing service in the UK.

As a Crematoria Site Manager, you will:

  • Lead and develop high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective bereavement services.
  • Ensure funerals are conducted with dignity, in line with statutory requirements and Council regulations.
  • Maintain our crematorium sites to the highest standards.
  • Support the day-to-day management of operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

WHAT WILL I NEED? To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • GCSEs (Grades 9–4 / A*–C) or equivalent.
  • A full UK manual driving licence.
  • In possession of or commitment to work towards the F.B.C.A. Certificate of Proficiency in the practical and ethical operation of cremation equipment.
  • Commitment to have or work towards the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management certificate.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead a small team and have delivered great customer service.
