Overview
You will provide administration support to both The Adult Protection (AP) Team and the Deprivation of Liberty Service (DoLs). The post will provide administrative support to a team of Independent Lead Officers and Best Interests Assessors in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities under the County Durham interagency Safeguarding Adults procedures and the Mental Capacity Act. The DoLS work is process driven, with work received via a team mailbox and information processed using logs and entered onto the adult care database.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the AP Team, including data processing, co-ordinating information, and supporting AP Meetings (training provided).
- Support the DoLS workflow, including handling work received via team mailbox, maintaining logs, and entering information onto the adult care database.
Qualifications
- BTEC National in Public Admin, NVQ Business Administration Level 3 (or equivalent relevant qualification).
Working pattern
HYBRID WORKING: Durham County Council operates a hybrid policy with a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote. This model is pro-rated for part-time roles and arrangements are at manager’s discretion; alternatively, you can work all contracted hours in the workplace if preferred.
