Join Us as a Police Constable Are You Ready to Make a Difference? We are currently looking for a Police Constable to join our busy team in County Durham and Darlington.

Hours of Work: Full-time shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

As a Police Constable, you\’ll be on the front lines, facing various challenges that require quick thinking and problem-solving skills. Your role will involve providing reassurance to the public, building relationships within the community, and working tirelessly to combat crime effectively. Together with your team, you\’ll strive to ensure the safety of EVERYONE, responding 24/7 to incidents that affect public welfare. Police Constable Requirements:

  1. 2 x A Levels or an NVQ Level 3qualifications is a minimum, and in order to enrol onto the PCDA programme with Northumbria University you must be able to evidence a total of 112 UCAS points or higher.
  2. For those candidates whose A Level qualifications/Level 3 may not reach 112 UCAS points, professional training or significant work experience may also considered to be equal to the above and in this instance, you MUST evidence your training/experience by completing and attaching the experiential learning form below. Please ensure you provide as much detail as possible regarding your professional roles, responsibilities, work-based training or activity that you believe to be relevant to this application.
  3. GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A-C or equivalent).
  4. A valid driving licence for a manually operated motor vehicle.
  5. A passion for serving your community and fighting crime.
  6. The ability to handle a demanding and fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Police Constable Benefits:

  1. Competitive salary ranging from £29,907 – £48,231, based on experience and qualifications.
  2. Additional 10% on your hourly rate for shifts between 8 PM and 6 AM.
