Motor Vehicle Technician Duties
- Maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicle assets owned and operated by Durham Constabulary.
- Performing high-quality repairs, servicing, MOT work, and minor or major vehicle overhauls.
- Ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and mission-ready, in line with blue light operational standards.
- Periodic vehicle conversions and alterations to meet evolving operational needs.
Motor Vehicle Technician Requirements
- City & Guilds level III / 'A' Levels / BTEC National in Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent (NVQ3).
- At least 5 years of relevant technical experience.
- Excellent fault diagnosis and repair skills.
- Experience with vehicle servicing, MOTs, and safety inspections.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
