We are currently looking for a Motor Vehicle Technician to join our vibrant, fast-paced team in County Durham. Step into a role where your expertise will directly contribute to community safety and operational excellence!
Hours of Work: Full time.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair a wide range of vehicle assets owned and operated by Durham Constabulary, including high-quality repairs, servicing, MOT work, and minor or major vehicle overhauls.
- Ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and mission‑ready, in line with blue light operational standards.
- Perform periodic vehicle conversions and alterations to meet evolving operational needs.
Requirements:
- City & Guilds level III / 'A' Levels / BTEC National in Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent (NVQ3).
- At least 5 years of relevant technical experience.
- Excellent fault diagnosis and repair skills.
- Experience with vehicle servicing, MOTs, and safety inspections.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
