The Role

Carrying out co-ordinated financial investigations in accordance with agreed protocols and relevant legislation to develop and enhance proactive and reactive enquiries into the activities of known and suspected criminals, with the aim of depriving them of the proceeds of their offending. Preparation of evidence for both the prosecution and confiscation processes.

What You’ll Do

• To conduct investigations under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 thereby providing information to the Crown Courts and the Crown Prosecution Service of acquisitive crime.
• To obtain evidence and information under the powers conferred by the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
• To assist and advise in operational planning at Force/Divisional level where asset confiscation may be an issue.
• Obtain basic statements, producing documentary exhibits for court, having due regard to integrity and continuity of evidence.
• Provide police investigators with comprehensive intelligence profiles in relation to suspects, organisations and their assets.
• Deliver high standards of service aligned with organisational priorities
• Contribute to the safety and wellbeing of our communities

• Support continuous improvement and organisational excellence

What You’ll Bring

• HND in a relevant subject or an approved equivalent.
• At least 5 years professional experience in the Financial Sector or an investigative role
• A strong commitment to public service and our organisational values
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience for the role
