Are you prepared to be a voice of reassurance in emergency situations? We are currently looking for a Call Handler to join our busy team at Police Headquarters in Aykley Heads. Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, with a varied shift pattern to meet the needs of our emergency services. As a Call Handler, you will be integral to the effectiveness of our Force Control Room. Your responsibilities will include answering 999 and 101 emergency calls, gathering vital information from the public, performing risk assessments to ensure appropriate responses, and offering support to distressed individuals. In this demanding role, you will accurately record incidents and provide high-quality customer service, ensuring community confidence in our policing efforts. You will showcase your exceptional interpersonal skills while operating in a fast-paced environment where quick decision-making is essential. Call Handler Requirements: 4 GCSEs including English Language or Literature (Grade 9 to 4/A to C). A minimum of 1 year\’s previous customer service experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in computer and keyboard skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure with emotional resilience. Call Handler Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from £24,222 – £25,626 per annum. Additional 14% shift allowance and a 15.9% weekend working allowance.
