We're looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer to join the team at Durell. You will be a junior developer working across multiple projects, with a particular focus on our underwriting platforms (Schemes and QuotePortal products). Your principal role will be developing and maintaining our products as part of ongoing and client delivery briefs. The role will be under the leadership of experienced developers and our Tech Director.
The Schemes and QuotePortal products are established and market leading. They are feature-rich offerings for high profile brokers, MGA's and global insurers. This is a high impact, disruptive technology, within a massive, fast growing industry and servicing a variety of very large and regulated companies.
Our technology stack includes:
- .Net Core/.Net Framework
- C# & VB
- JavaScript/jQuery
- MySQL
- AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC etc.)
- Azure DevOps (knowledge of git is beneficial)

Qualifications include:
- Proficiency in Full-Stack Development, with a focus on Back-End Web Development and comfortable Front-End Development and customer experience.
- Experience with Software Development and the ability to support the design and maintenance of scalable platforms.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with modern development frameworks and tools.
The team is based in a modern co-working space in the centre of Bristol. It's a full time role, principally office based, with some flexibility around working hours and work-from-home.
Gross salary £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Enrolment in pension plan, employee contributions matched to 5%. 25 days paid holiday.
