Duration Brewing in Norfolk is on the lookout for a hard-working team player to join us as a warehouse and packaging operative. If you love operating a forklift and are keen to help us get all beers canned, kegged and out the door, step this way. If you have a fascination with organising inventory, look no further, as the job is half warehouse support and half packaging our products into can and keg.
If you want to be in the thick of the action on the brewery floor filling kegs and working our high pressured canning line (ours is a 3 head Codi filler), we may just have your dream job. This is an entry level position where 2 years experience in a similar role and a forklift license is preferable but a 'can do' role up your sleeves attitude will also go a long way. You will need to be practical, happy working on your feet most of the day and relish physically demanding work (able to lift 72kg kegs). You will also need a lot of focus under pressure and a keen attention to detail to work with confidence overseeing our inventory system, speaking with couriers and picking orders.
This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor for the right candidate. Our beers are enjoyed at our Brewery Taproom and by beer lovers in country pubs, specialist beer bars, and at festivals and events across the UK. We have been steadily expanding at the brewery and growing operations each year and 2026 is set to be a great year for us.
We’re about to complete our third cellar expansion since opening 7 years ago, and we’re looking for a Packaging + Warehouse Operative to join our production team this summer. We are looking to fill the role ASAP and ideally no later than July. This is a great opportunity to get stuck into a fast-growing, independent brewery where no two days look the same. You’ll be part of a close-knit team, with plenty of scope to learn, develop and take ownership as we grow.
About Us: Duration is an award-winning modern brewery based in rural West Norfolk, with a taproom and shop on site. We brew beers inspired by our landscape and known for being balanced, consistent and highly drinkable across keg, can and cask. Since launching in 2019, we’ve built a strong reputation in the UK craft scene. Our range spans pale ales, IPAs, lagers, stouts and Belgian-inspired beers, alongside more traditional and mixed fermentation styles. We collaborate widely and run a busy events calendar. We’re a small but mighty team, and everyone rolls their sleeves up — this is a hands-on environment where variety is part of the job.
Role Overview: This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) suited to a practical, organised all-rounder who enjoys working with both machinery and systems. Your time will be split between packaging (cans and kegs) and supporting the warehouse operation alongside our Warehouse Manager. One day you might be running the canning line, the next building pallets, booking transport, or picking and packing web shop orders. It’s a role for someone who likes to stay busy, problem-solve on the go, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly — from production line to dispatch.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Setting up, running and packing down the canning line
- Monitoring quality and making on-the-fly adjustments
- Kegging and general packaging tasks
- Building, wrapping and preparing pallets for dispatch
- Picking, packing and shipping webshop orders
- Booking transport and communicating with couriers and customers
- Moving stock and materials safely around site
- Keeping the warehouse organised with good stock rotation
- Maintaining accurate records in BREWW
- Ordering packaging supplies
- Keeping packaging and warehouse areas clean, tidy and safe
- Supporting the wider production team where needed
About You: You’re practical, proactive and comfortable with physical work. You enjoy working with your hands, learning machinery, and figuring things out as you go. You’re just as happy on your feet all day as you are jumping onto a computer to book shipments or update systems. You’re organised, detail-focused, and take responsibility for your work.
Experience in packaging, warehouse or food/drinks production:
- Forklift certification (or willingness to train)
- Mechanically minded with a problem-solving approach
- Comfortable with lifting, standing and repetitive tasks
- Confident using computer systems (or quick to learn)
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently and in a small team
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Brewery or canning line experience
- Stock control or warehouse systems (e.g. BREWW)
- Centrifuge experience (training available)
What We Offer:
- Opportunities for progression (including stepping up to packaging lead)
- Beer and merch allowance
- Event and travel opportunities
- Staff discounts in our taproom and shop
- Immediate Start
- Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
- Mostly Monday–Friday, with some flexibility needed to evenings and weekends.
- Based at our West Acre, Norfolk brewery
