Ensuring accurate, timely and quality tender estimates/cost plans are developed for submission on various building, façade, defence and remediation projects across our growing NSW division. Typically single‑stage lump sum offering.
THE ROLE
- Prepare and develop accurate cost estimates, including direct trade and prelim budgets
- Compile accurate material quantity take‑offs to develop bills of quantities
- Assist preparing and developing construction methodologies, programs and submission documentation
- Develop estimates from first principles using site productivity rates
- Prepare risk and opportunity including cost escalation analysis for estimates
- Review designs and engineering specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives where applicable
- Hand over detailed tenders with traceability and support into pre‑contracts and delivery
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in estimating in Defence, Construction and/or building remediation
- Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, professionalism and self‑motivation
- A strong financial and commercial acumen
- High level attention to detail and the ability to work to set timeframes while multitasking
- Capability to present your estimates to Senior Management for approval to submit
- Actively seek additional information or clarification through RFI’s to the Client to ensure a complete set of tender documents
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar equivalent
- Proficient in Pronamics Expert Estimation software desirable
