We are looking for experienced Reinstatement Operatives to join our team within the water industry. This role involves carrying out high-quality reinstatement works after our dig teams have completed activities such as water meter swaps, stop-ups, pipe replacements, and general excavation works. You will be responsible for reinstating roads, pavements, footpaths, and surfaces to the required standards using materials such as hot lay, cold lay, and tarmac. The ideal candidate will have proven reinstatement experience and the ability to work efficiently, safely, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reinstatement works following excavation by utility dig teams.
- Re-tarmac and reinstate roadways, pavements, and footways.
- Use hot lay, cold lay, tarmac and other reinstatement materials to a high standard.
- Ensure all reinstatements meet statutory and company requirements (NRSWA standards, where applicable).
- Operate tools, machinery, and small plant relevant to reinstatement work.
- Work safely in accordance with health & safety guidelines and utility industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders, supervisors, and other operatives.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in reinstatement within utilities or construction.
- Experience reinstating after water utility works (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence (required).
- NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) accreditation (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
