Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects across the UK. The role covers a broad range of infrastructure solutions and requires strong coordination with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and installation crews. From contract award through to handover, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role calls for strong leadership, commercial awareness, and proven experience in managing complex infrastructure contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of UK-based contracts, from mobilisation to final completion.
- Act as the main point of contact for UK clients, building strong and professional relationships.
- Review, negotiate, and manage contract terms to safeguard Duralock’s commercial interests.
- Plan, monitor, and control project programmes, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Conduct regular site visits across the UK to oversee progress and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations, and company policies.
- Manage project changes, variations, and claims in line with contractual obligations.
- Work closely with technical, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Report regularly to senior management on progress, risks, and financial performance.
- Attend site meetings prior to mobilisation to assess site requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or Site Manager within construction, civil engineering, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and strong understanding of contract administration.
- Excellent client‑facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects across the UK.
- Sound commercial awareness, and budget management skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of UK health & safety and CDM regulations.
- Competent in MS Office and project management tools.
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel nationwide.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in fencing, sports infrastructure, racecourses, or equestrian projects.
- Professional certifications such as CSCS, SMSTS, or NEBOSH.
- Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to deliver projects under tight timescales.
