DWS addresses critical water challenges and serves its thousands of customers in diverse markets through three major technology verticals: Ion Exchange Resins (IER), Reverse Osmosis Elements (RO), and Systems & Filtration (S&F).
The EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) will translate global segment strategy into region-specific priorities and lead execution across EMEA. This role is responsible for shaping regional growth strategy, defining where to play and how to win locally, building regional action plans, and partnering closely with Sales, Technology, MarCom, and Global Segment Marketing to accelerate growth in RO technologies.
As the regional champion for strategic marketing execution, the RMM will develop deep insight into regional market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, regulations, channels, installed base, and value-chain decision makers. The role owns regional activation for priority segments, including customer targeting, demand generation, product launch execution, channel effectiveness, trade show presence, share-gain initiatives, and continuous voice-of-customer and competitive intelligence feedback.
Key Responsibilities:- Translate global Ion Exchange Resin and Specialty Membranes segment strategy into region-specific priorities, applying global “where to play / how to win” choices and customer insights to regional execution across priority applications, customer types, regulations, competitors, and channels.
- Develop regional go-to-market strategies for priority segments and maintain a clear view of what matters most in the region, why it matters, and how it should shape commercial execution.
- Own regional execution plans for priority segments, including growth initiatives, campaign priorities, customer targeting, existing-account penetration plans, launches, channel actions, success measures, and progress tracking.
- Clarify whether regional growth gaps are demand-driven or execution-driven, and partner with Sales and Commercial teams to close gaps through focused action plans.
- Partner with Commercial teams to identify new customers, develop account penetration plans for existing accounts, and drive share gain efforts using installed-base mapping, competitor displacement opportunities, and targeted value propositions.
- Lead regional channel marketing effectiveness where distributors and channels are critical to winning, including distributor prioritization, portfolio focus, go-to-market alignment, performance reviews, and execution improvement actions to drive revenue growth.
- Drive regional innovation and product launch execution by building launch plans, aligning Sales, channels, and customers on value propositions and use cases, and capturing early market adoption feedback to evaluate and improve product launch sales performance.
- Provide ongoing market and competitive intelligence, including competitor moves, price pressure, messaging effectiveness, structural market issues, and emerging opportunities that inform strategic and execution decisions.
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen, with the ability to collect and analyze market, customer, channel, and pipeline data and translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Strong strategic marketing capability, including segmentation, targeting, value proposition development, regional activation, campaign planning, and growth initiative prioritization.
- Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar markets through primary research, customer engagement, competitive analysis, and collaboration with commercial and technical teams.
- Highly motivated, results-driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills, strong ownership mindset, and the ability to create urgency and drive issues to closure.
- Demonstrated success working across diverse, cross-functional teams; multi-cultural and multi-region experience preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including multitasking, attention to detail, disciplined follow-through, and bias for action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex market insights clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree required in a business or technical field; MBA preferred.
- Relevant experience in marketing, market development, product management, commercial strategy, or a related role preferred.
- Experience in the ion exchange and membrane technologies markets is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
