Hybrid role (3-4 days per week in the office, in Bedford). I am working with a well-established, but rapidly growing, people-focused organisation (Technical services / £ multi-million t/o) to recruit a proactive and highly organised HR Assistant to join the HR team. The HR team is very collaborative and supportive and has a great reputation within the company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to continue a career in HR within a professional and fast-paced environment, where you will work across the full employee lifecycle.

HR Assistant - The Role: As HR Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to the HR function and wider business. You will play a key role in ensuring HR processes run smoothly from recruitment and onboarding through to employee changes and leavers. You will also act as a first point of contact for HR queries, helping deliver a responsive and professional HR service across the organisation.

HR Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • New starter administration
  • Onboarding and inductions
  • Recruitment administration
  • HR system / Ticketing / and HR inbox management & maintenance
  • Employee changes / Leavers administration
  • Employee lifecycle administration (absence, payroll updates, probation, ER support)
  • HR policies / projects and documentation support
  • Background screening and vetting

About You: I am looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working in a busy HR environment. You will likely have:

  • 2yrs+ as an HR Assistant
  • Be incredibly people-centric!
  • Ideally CIPD Foundation level
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a can-do mindset
  • Solid IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office

Additional Information:

  • Full driving licence preferred
  • Location: Hybrid: 3-4 days per week at the office in Bedford
  • Free parking available
  • Occasional travel to other locations (company offices) may be required
