Hybrid role (3-4 days per week in the office, in Bedford). I’m working with a well-established, but rapidly growing, people-focused organisation to recruit a proactive and highly organised HR Assistant to join the HR team. The HR team is very collaborative and supportive and has a great reputation within the company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to continue a career in HR within a professional and fast-paced environment, where you’ll work across the full employee lifecycle.
As HR Assistant, you’ll provide essential administrative support to the HR function and wider business. You’ll play a key role in ensuring HR processes run smoothly—from recruitment and onboarding through to employee changes and leavers. You’ll also act as a first point of contact for HR queries, helping deliver a responsive and professional HR service across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- New starter administration
- Onboarding and inductions
- Recruitment administration
- HR system / Ticketing / and HR inbox management & maintenance
- Employee changes / Leavers administration
- Employee lifecycle administration (absence, payroll updates, probation, ER support)
- HR policies / projects and documentation support
- Background screening and vetting
About You:
I’m looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working in a busy HR environment. You’ll likely have:
- 2yrs+ as an HR Assistant
- Be incredibly people-centric
- Ideally CIPD Foundation level
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good time management and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, positive attitude with a “can-do” mindset
- Solid IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office

- Full driving licence preferred
