Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead the project management for entire shows or sequences, ensuring effective scheduling, workflow tracking, dataIO & editorial management and meeting of internal and external deadlines. If necessary, assume the production lead position on smaller projects.
- Team Coordination: Oversee a team of Coordinators, Production Assistants and other support staff to ensure efficient operation of daily rounds, dailies and meetings. Ensure information is communicated effectively across all departments and stakeholders.
- Bid Day Budget Oversight: Management and tracking of bid day budgets.
- Client and Internal Communication: Develop strong relationships with Directors, Producers and Clients to become a trusted resource. Provide regular progress updates & reports to both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Resource Management: Coordinate with the crewing department to ensure all staffing issues are handled promptly. Manage artist & operational support resources to meet production demands and support business development in pitching and bidding.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train junior staff members, ensuring they are equipped to meet their job requirements. Shared responsibility for company goals including staff well‑being.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a Producer
- Strong capabilities in scheduling and project budget management
- Excellent client management skills
- Proficiency in corporate G Suite applications, MS Office, Ftrack (Shotgrid skills are transferable) and other production software
- In‑depth understanding of VFX production workflows and post‑production processes
