We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead the marketing strategy and goâtoâmarket execution for Duolingo Chess â an exciting new product that brings the joy and rigor of learning to the timeless game of chess. Working crossâfunctionally with Product, Design, and Marketing, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our learning products by developing compelling product narratives both in and out of the app and developing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and retention.
You will:
- Develop and implement comprehensive product marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention for Duolingo Chess.
- Collaborate closely with crossâfunctional teams â including product management, design, engineering, and marketing â to ensure successful product launches with clear, cohesive marketing plans.
- Conduct consumer research and competitive analysis to inform value proposition development and feature positioning.
- Develop and implement goâtoâmarket plans for new product or feature launches, including messaging, positioning, and promotional strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to develop highâimpact marketing campaigns, including inâapp communications, ASO, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Track and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Serve as the internal authority and advocate for Duolingo Chess, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across teams.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in product marketing, preferably in consumer technology, with a consistent record of developing and implementing successful product marketing programs.
- Strong understanding of the mobile app market and experience marketing consumerâfacing digital products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and effectively present ideas.
- Ability to use insights, data, and statistical analyses to drive marketing decisions and optimize campaigns.
- Experience working in crossâfunctional teams and leading multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
