The Opportunity

If you're currently working in practice and looking to broaden your experience beyond accounts and audit, this role offers the opportunity to become involved in commercial decision-making, business partnering, forecasting, process improvement and strategic finance within a high-growth technology business. This is a varied role offering genuine responsibility from day one, with the opportunity to influence financial processes, improve reporting and develop alongside an ambitious, growing business. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee transactional finance while maintaining strong financial controls.
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Liaise with external accountants during statutory reporting and audit activities.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance financial reporting and management information.
  • Recommend improvements to financial systems, reporting processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure payroll and statutory financial obligations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Finance Assistant.

About You

We're keen to hear from qualified accountants looking to make an impact. You may currently be working within an accountancy practice and looking to make your first move into industry, or already have experience within a commercial finance team. You'll ideally have:

  • ACA, ICAS or ACCA qualification (or be approaching qualification).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business.
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to improve processes and add commercial value.
