As an Electrical Technician, you'll be responsible for working to preventative, planned and reactive maintenance with the plant and ensuring schedules are met to ensure plant runs to optimum availability of all assets. This will include the repair and maintenance of forging presses, furnaces, support equipment, machine tools and electricals installations and testing. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. What You'll Be Doing Responsibilities Carry out repairs to machinery and equipment on site. Conduct planned maintenance checks to high level Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while working in the workshop. Stay updated on industry advancements and technical manuals to enhance skills. Follow safe systems of works and legislative requirements What We're Looking For Relevant experience as a time served Electrician - City & Guilds, MA Level3 , HNC Level of equivalent Prior industry experience in electrical maintenance covering medium voltage distribution systems, equipment breakdowns, trouble shooting, and working with inspection and maintenance programmes to meet statutory requirements is essential. Strong understanding and proven track record of fault finding with the ability to reach technical drawings Experience of carrying out electrical and installations and carrying out preventative maintenance work Proficiency in using test equipment and diagnostic tools to locate and fix electrical faults Ability to interpret work instructions, drawings and schematic drawings Able to work at heights Computer Literate Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail This position is subject to the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires the jobholder to obtain certain authorisation or security clearances that will require interface with local & US government authorities.
