We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Tax Specialist to join our expanding Tax Consultancy team in Glasgow. This role sits within a national service line, working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple UK offices to deliver high-quality corporate tax compliance and advisory support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of a varied corporate tax portfolio, providing technical oversight, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the delivery of strategic tax planning work.
- Reviewing complex corporate tax computations prepared by junior staff.
- Providing coaching, guidance and formal training to Assistants, Seniors and Assistant Managers.
- Monitoring work progress, billing and recoveries across your client portfolio.
- Contributing to proactive corporate tax planning and advisory projects.
- Working directly with clients and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality consultancy work.
- Participating in recruitment activities, including involvement in annual graduate intake processes.
- Acting as a line manager for trainees or senior colleagues.
- Supporting the continual improvement of processes and best practice within the tax team.
Who We're Looking For
You will be a confident tax professional with the ability to work autonomously while supporting and developing others. You should bring:
- Essential CTA qualification, plus at least 2 years' experience in corporate tax compliance and/or advisory.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- A proven ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Experience mentoring or training colleagues.
- Desirable: Experience using Alphatax.
- Background working within a national, regional or mid-tier accountancy firm.
