We are looking for a Junior CAD Operator to join us in our mission of delivering quality outdoor products such as log cabins, garden offices, sheds and gazebos designed with care, built to last, and made to make our customers smile!

This year alone, we’ve expanded even further — opening four new sites and now employing over 600 amazing people across 15 locations across the UK. For more than 30 years, we’ve been passionate about designing, manufacturing, and retailing quality garden lifestyle products that help our customers make the most of their outdoor spaces. As garden building specialists, we’re proud to deliver our products directly to our customers using our very own fleet, ensuring care and quality every step of the way.
The Role: This job is based out of our Bedford HQ – MK41 0LF and assists the design team by producing accurate CAD drawings and supporting project development.
- Produce 3D CAD models using parametric design software.
- Review design instructions, product documentation, and assembly information to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Generate reports and recommendations to improve product quality and simplify the customer assembly process.
- Assist with product-related queries or issues, contributing to practical design solutions.
- Update technical drawings, models, and documentation as required.
- Ensure all CAD files and associated documents are kept organised and stored correctly.
- Collaborate with other departments including Design, Marketing, Production, and Customer Services to support product improvements.
- Assist with general technical and administrative tasks within the design function.
Requirements:
- 3D CAD modelling skills
- Familiarity with Autodesk inventor
- Understanding of parametric modelling
- Ability to interpret design instructions and drawings
- Problem solving and analytical thinking
- Good communication skills
