Key Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
Respond to breakdown calls as the first responder on shift
Diagnose faults across mechanical and electrical/instrumentation systems independently
Carry out emergency repairs safely under Lead Engineer direction
Perform fault-finding on PLCs, sensors, drives and control panels
Carry out mechanical repairs including bearings, gearboxes, conveyors and pumps
Carry out electrical repairs including motors, starters, switchgear and wiring faults
Safely isolate and reinstate equipment under Permit to Work procedures
Complete CMMS breakdown work orders with accurate fault descriptions and actions taken
Provide technical input to Lead Engineer during RCA investigations
Support production restart and sign off equipment for return to service
Execute PPM work orders assigned by the Lead Engineer through the CMMS
Carry out condition monitoring including vibration, thermal imaging and lubrication
Perform electrical testing including insulation resistance, earth continuity and PAT
Inspect and maintain control panels, junction boxes and cable runs
