Salary: £15.00 - £15.50 Per Hour (Overtime Available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations within the cutting and packing departments to ensure production schedules and customer requirements are achieved.
  • Lead and motivate Production Operatives to maintain high standards of productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Monitor production flow, yields, throughput, and downtime to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and traceability standards.
  • Carry out regular quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture and always ensure correct PPE usage and safe working practices.
  • Identify operational issues and implement actions to maintain performance targets and production continuity.
  • Conduct shift briefings and communicate daily production targets, safety updates, and operational priorities.
  • Support employee training, coaching, and performance development across the production team.
  • Maintain accurate production records, labour reporting, and traceability documentation.
  • Monitor stock levels of packaging materials and communicate requirements with relevant departments.
  • Work closely with Production Management, Quality, and other departments to support operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience within Food Manufacturing, FMCG, or Packaging environments.
  • Strong understanding of cutting and packing operations within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and traceability standards.
  • Experience leading teams and managing performance within a production setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-moving manufacturing environments with high production demands.
  • A proactive and hands-on management approach with the ability to support and motivate teams.
  • Experience monitoring KPIs, and production performance.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
