Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects as required.
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's maintenance management system.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
- Participate in the shift rota, including working Bank Holidays as required within the food manufacturing operation.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities (electrical bias preferred).
- Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance techniques.
- Good project management skills with a detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
Desired:
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services.
