Job Title: Production Team Leader - Food Manufacturing Location: Scarborough Salary: £14.20 per hour Industry: Food Manufacturing Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, with flexibility required and participation in 1–2 Sunday shifts per month. Production Team Leader Benefits: * Competitive hourly rate of £14.20 per hour * Clear career Progression Opportunities * Permanent, full-time position * Primarily Monday to Friday working pattern * 28 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) * On-site Level 2 Food Safety training provided if required * Opportunity to develop within a well-established food manufacturing business * Supportive management team with genuine career progression opportunities Key Production Team Leader Responsibilities: * Lead, coach and develop the Production Department team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement. * Set clear daily objectives and provide regular feedback to support individual development. * Motivate the team to achieve production, quality and efficiency targets. * Ensure all products are manufactured in line with food safety, quality and customer standards. * Monitor daily production performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, yield and productivity. * Plan and schedule production activities to meet business and customer demand. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department. * Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, food safety and environmental compliance at all times. * Monitor employee safety and promote a positive safety culture throughout the department. * Ensure company policies and operational procedures are consistently followed. * Work closely with other departments to ensure production plans are achieved. * Resolve day-to-day production issues quickly and effectively to minimise downtime. * Complete production documentation accurately and maintain operational records. Production Team Leader Requirements: Essential: * Previous experience within a food manufacturing or food processing environment. * Proven experience leading, supervising or mentoring a production team. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities while working to tight production deadlines. * Flexible approach to working hours, including 1–2 Sunday shifts per month. Desirable: * Level 2 Food Safety qualification (training can be provided if required). * Experience monitoring production KPIs including yield, efficiency and productivity
