Multi-Skilled Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and driving continuous improvement.
- Responding to and resolving breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
- Monitoring equipment to ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and quality standards.
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance across a range of production lines, packaging machinery, and services equipment (including boilers, pasteurisers and processors).
- Performing machine modifications and plant improvements.
- Basic plumbing, fabrication, and general engineering repairs.
- Recording all activities accurately on CMMS systems.
- Working independently with minimal supervision, while also supporting the wider engineering team.
Required Multi-Skilled Engineer Qualifications:
- 18th Edition Electrical (City & Guilds) qualification OR Qualified by experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge within an FMCG / manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in machine maintenance, fabrication, and fault finding.
- Ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical / mechanical faults.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
