The predicted salary is between 55580 - 55580 £ per year.

Shift Patterns: Days/Afters: Rotating shifts (5:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 11:00pm) – 45 hours per week

Salary: £24.00 per hour (Days/Afters) or £27.00 per hour (Nights)

Nights: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00am – 40 hours per week

Key Senior HGV Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities
  • Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT testing and ensure DVSA compliance
  • Conduct safety inspections and identify defects promptly
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and workshop documentation
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to minimise vehicle downtime
  • Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and industry regulations

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing HGV trucks and trailers within a commercial vehicle environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Excellent understanding of DVSA regulations and vehicle compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Own transport essential due to site location
