Salary: Up to £58,500 (DOE) + Overtime

Shift: Monday – Friday: Rotating two-shift pattern (early/late)

Hours: 45 Hours Per Week – 1 Hour Paid Lunch Per Day

Key Engineering Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities across production lines and utilities
  • Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are completed on time and to standard
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritise actions to reduce production downtime
  • Support mechanical, electrical, and automation fault-finding and root cause analysis
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of multi-skilled engineers on shift
  • Allocate workloads, manage shift handovers, and maintain clear team communication
  • Enforce safe systems of work including permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Support site safety, hygiene, and audit standards (e.g. BRC)
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery and projects
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs and contribute to performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Engineering Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Experience in a Supervisory or Senior Engineering role within FMCG or manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge (multi-skilled)
  • Experience working with automated or high-volume production equipment
  • Good understanding of UK health & safety requirements within manufacturing
  • Experience with CMMS / Maintenance Management Systems
  • Knowledge of PLC fault-finding and continuous improvement methodologies (TPM / Lean) is advantageous
  • Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent) (Not Essential)
  • 17th or 18th Edition/ Electrical Engineering Qualification (Not Essential)
