Location: Doncaster – Stainforth (DN7)

Salary: Β£35,360 / Β£17.00 p/h (DOE)

Shift: Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm

Hours: 45 Hours Per Week – 1 Hour Paid Lunch Per Day

Key Assistant Production Manager Responsibilities:

  • Support daily production across multiple lines
  • Help achieve output, efficiency and quality targets
  • Adjust schedules and workflow to meet demand
  • Reduce downtime and improve productivity
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene and GMP standards
  • Monitor CCPs and support audit readiness
  • Supervise and support line leaders and operatives
  • Deliver shift briefings and on-the-job training
  • Coordinate raw materials and packaging availability
  • Monitor waste and drive improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with engineering on maintenance and breakdowns
  • Maintain accurate production and performance records

Key Assistant Production Manager Requirements:

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience within FMCG production
  • Strong understanding of quality standards (HACCP / GMP)
  • Proven supervisory or team leadership experience on a production floor
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Practical problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Desired Requirements:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles
  • Experience supporting audits or compliance processes
  • Exposure to multi-line or high-volume production environments
  • Relevant qualification in Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering or similar
