Key Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out effective repairs
- Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance across production equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support production teams to ensure minimal downtime and disruption
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements:
Essential:
- Level 3 (or above) qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
- Strong multi-skilled engineering capability (mechanical & electrical)
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment (FMCG/food is ideal but not strictly required)
- Proven experience with fault finding and root cause analysis
- Experience carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Understanding of maintenance systems and engineering documentation
Desirable:
- Experience working with automated machinery, conveyors, or packaging equipment
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems and fault finding
