Key Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out effective repairs
  • Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance across production equipment
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Support production teams to ensure minimal downtime and disruption
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements:

Essential:

  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
  • Strong multi-skilled engineering capability (mechanical & electrical)
  • Experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment (FMCG/food is ideal but not strictly required)
  • Proven experience with fault finding and root cause analysis
  • Experience carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  • Understanding of maintenance systems and engineering documentation

Desirable:

  • Experience working with automated machinery, conveyors, or packaging equipment
  • Basic knowledge of PLC systems and fault finding
  • Additional engineering or equipment-specific certifications
