Responsibilities:
- Lead the site's Food Safety and Quality function.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager when required.
- Manage and develop the Laboratory team.
- Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP and customer standards.
- Lead customer complaints, investigations and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Drive improvements in GMP, Food Safety and Quality Culture across the site.
- Support customer and third-party audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Work closely with Operations and Engineering to improve quality performance.
- Manage traceability, laboratory performance and supplier quality issues.
- Support NPD projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Essential:
- Previous Quality Manager or Senior Quality experience within food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and food safety legislation.
- Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or a related discipline.
- Experience managing audits, quality systems and customer requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication and coaching skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience.
- Desirable:
- Laboratory management experience.
- Knowledge of VACCP and TACCP.
- Experience supporting NPD projects.
