Hours: 6am - 6pm

Shift: 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organise labour across harvesting lines to maximise efficiency and output
  • Lead and supervise harvesting teams, ensuring performance, productivity, and quality standards are met
  • Monitor harvesting KPIs and take corrective action where required
  • Ensure all products meet required specifications including quality, sizing, presentation, and consistency
  • Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and health and safety standards across all areas
  • Carry out regular checks on production output and quality throughout the day
  • Communicate clear instructions and updates to teams on harvesting priorities and plans
  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and support ongoing development
  • Ensure accurate recording of production data and documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement across harvesting processes and operations
  • Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure operational alignment
  • Support training of new starters and supervisors within the team

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor within Fresh Produce
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication and team management ability
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Basic IT and numerical skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns

Qualifications:

  • GCSE, NVQ, Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Food Hygiene (essential)
  • HACCP training (desirable)
