Key Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
- Perform reactive maintenance and PPM on machinery to ensure reliability.
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to prevent issues.
- Prioritise engineering tasks in line with night shift production needs.
- Maintain health & safety and food safety compliance while working in controlled environments.
- Record maintenance activity in the CMMS and keep documentation up to date.
- Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Keep engineering areas clean, organised, and safe.
- Manage spare parts and tools, ensuring availability and maintenance standards.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
- Completed apprenticeship or recognised engineering training preferred
Experience:
- 3 years experience in engineering roles
- 2 years experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
- Skilled in PPM, breakdown repairs, and fault finding
- Familiarity with production machinery and plant equipment
