Our client is a world-class, market-leading manufacturer of automatic combustion equipment, exporting to over 40 countries and supplying a wide range of blue-chip customers. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Purchasing/Spares Assistant to join their team in Rochdale.

Essential
- Proven administration experience
- Solid understanding of basic ledger management
- Good knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook
- Excellent time-management skills
- Organised and able to work on own initiative

- Previous customs or shipping experience (training will be provided)
The Role
- Support both the purchasing and spares departments in a varied, dual-function role
- Assist the buyer with the selection of products
- Create and chase purchase and sales orders
- Ensure products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price
- Negotiate with vendors and build positive long-term relationships
- Maintain accurate data within the ERP system
- Work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Research new suppliers and make recommendations
- Support the spares team with quoting, order processing, chasing and fulfilment
- Assist with the shipping of goods
