A position has arisen for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer. In this role you will play an integral part in the engineering team, assisting with the design and development of electrical solutions, supporting project delivery and helping to ensure technical requirements are met throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating customer requirements and developing practical design solutions
- Producing electrical schematics and panel layout drawings
- Generating detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Specifying and ordering electrical components and materials
- Liaising closely with the manufacturing department to ensure smooth project delivery
- Assisting with fault-finding and technical problem-solving
- Working in line with technical specifications and project requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach
- Competent in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical would be desirable, but is not essential
- Keen eye for detail and willingness to learn
