A position has arisen for a Time Served Welder / Sheet Metal Fabricator. In this role you will play an integral part in the production team, carrying out welding, fabrication and assembly work to a high standard while supporting the manufacture of high-quality combustion equipment and related components.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out TIG and MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel components
- Performing brazing and manual plasma cutting
- Operating press brake, rollers and guillotine machinery
- Marking out and setting up materials for fabrication
- Fabricating pipework and complex assemblies
- Working alongside an experienced engineering team on high-quality combustion equipment
- Participating in occasional site work where required
Requirements
- Time served Welder / Sheet Metal Fabricator
- Experience with TIG and MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Strong fabrication and assembly skills
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with pipework welding would be desirable
- Previous experience within a similar engineering or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Site work experience would be advantageous
