Dunottar is a vibrant, co-educational independent school set in extensive grounds of 15 acres on the outskirts of Reigate, Surrey. The School Nurse plays a key role in promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of students within the school community. Working part time as part of a shared nursing provision, the postholder delivers high-quality clinical care, provides professional guidance and supports students with both routine and urgent medical needs.
Working closely with the Pastoral Team, Safeguarding Leads and relevant members of Senior Leadership, the School Nurse ensures that all health processes are efficient, compliant and aligned with best practice.
Core responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, managing medication safely, responding to incidents and ensuring strong first-aid provision across the school. The successful candidate will bring solid clinical expertise, excellent communication skills and a compassionate, student-centred approach.
As part of a job share, they will contribute to a cohesive and reliable nursing service that supports student wellbeing and enhances the school’s pastoral and operational effectiveness.
