We're looking for a Senior User Researcher to join the Tesco Retail Media team. Itâs an exciting opportunity to shape the future of retail media and to work with marketâleading businesses to explore new opportunities for us and influence global retailers.
As a Senior User Researcher your work will be focused on ensuring our products and services effectively address the needs of advertisers, agencies, and internal users. You will explore how our different user groups engage and use our retail media products to uncover user needs and translate insights into strategic recommendations that drive strategy, product, and design decisions.
What Youâll Be Working On
- Design and execute endâtoâend research projects using various qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover user needs and behaviours.
- Drive business impact by translating research findings into actionable insights and recommendations that guide the product strategy and roadmap â influencing business, product and design decisions.
- Create compelling and concise deliverables, including reports, presentations, and workshops, to communicate research insights effectively.
- Collaborate crossâfunctionally by bringing together product, design, engineering and business teams to align and foster collaboration in addressing user challenges.
- Push for userâcentricity by advocating for the value of user research and evangelise research insights, promoting a userâcentred mindset across teams and stakeholders.
- Democratise research by mentoring colleagues on best practices for embedding research into product development and design processes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve the impact of user research.
What We Expect From You
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant subject such as HumanâComputer Interaction, Psychology or Social Science.
- Experience in a B2B or SaaS setting.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and clear recommendations.
- Expert storyteller and communicator able to engage and encourage confidence across different teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and align crossâfunctional teams.
- Skilled at prioritising and delivering research in ambiguous, dynamic environments.
- Adept at facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions to drive alignment and innovation.
