This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape our legal strategy and practice around cutting-edge tech, AI, and procurement initiatives, while mentoring and managing a talented legal professional.
What You’ll Do
- Lead legal support for technology, AI and procurement-related matters across the business.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS, software licensing, data processing, reseller / introducer and AI-related agreements.
- Advise stakeholders on legal risks and regulatory developments in AI, data protection, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Tech, Data Science, Procurement, Privacy, and Risk and Compliance.
- Manage and develop one direct report, fostering growth and legal excellence.
- Act as trusted advisor on strategic projects to senior management and C-suite
- Help set our legal vision for your area and continuously improve our legal policies, processes, standards and guidance.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in commercial, IP, data and privacy law with a focus on technology, AI, outsourcing and wider procurement. Digital media and open source experience would be an advantage.
- Strong experience working in-house at a tech or digital media company or within a tech-focused team at a law firm. Strong global or international experience would be an advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead on complex legal matters, manage competing priorities, make the complex simple, and achieve quick, risk-aware outcomes.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation, including the use of technology in legal work.
