What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement standardised contract templates, policies, and governance processes for our media business globally (excluding Tesco Media).
- Advise on media product launches, and our related strategic partnerships ensuring compliance with IP, privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Drive scalable legal solutions that enable operational efficiency and reduce risk in diverse markets.
- Collaborate with our legal, media, commercial, technology, science and many other colleagues to align your work with business objectives.
- Monitor evolving media regulations and proactively update global standards.
- Share best practices with our Tesco Media colleagues.
- Act as trusted advisor on strategic projects to senior management and C-suite.
- Provide ad hoc support to our category management and loyalty and personalisation businesses when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in digital media platforms, wider technology esp SaaS, reseller arrangements and outsourcing, working either in-house at a tech or digital media company or within a tech- or media focused team at a leading law firm.
- Strong global or international experience would be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IP, data protection, commercial and competition law across multiple jurisdictions.
- AI and open source experience would be an advantage.
- Proven ability to design scalable legal processes and manage complex, cross-border projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead on complex legal matters, manage competing priorities, make the complex simple, and achieve quick, risk-aware outcomes.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation, including the use of technology in legal work.
