We’re looking for a Technical Account Director who expects more from their career. It’s a chance to extend and improve dunnhumby’s Technical Account Management team. It’s an opportunity to work with a market-leading business to explore new opportunities for us and influence global retailers. Joining our team, you’ll work with world class and passionate people to deliver best in class services to our clients. This role will involve the candidate predominantly working on the Tesco account.

What is expected from the role:

  • Create and implement the Technical Account Management strategy and roadmap, working closely with key clients and internal departments to translate and balance requirements and influence priorities.
  • Own and manage the staffing plans for your Technical Account Management team.
  • Pre-Sales - Work with dunnhumby Client Leadership, Analysis, Products and Capability teams to understand proposed scope of work to ensure dunnhumby data solution & products and client IT meet the requirements; attend commercial prioritisation and critical business development meetings with clients.
  • Lead data exploration assessment and audit for key clients with senior IT stakeholders in the client organization, owning relationships at Chief Information Officer / Chief Technology Officer level to articulate those plans as part of dunnhumby’s overall engagement.
  • Act as subject matter expert answering complex data related inquiries from key internal and external client stakeholders: use own subject matter expertise to ensure that data and technology provision is suitable for service delivery.
  • Use data and technology expertise to articulate and recommend the best options to outline the data roadmap and resolve data issues/problems for the most strategic clients.
  • Lead the documentation and presentation of data and technology requirements to appropriate Leadership Teams within dunnhumby, and client steer committees to assure roadmap/delivery plans.
  • Create and manage service provision, Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and data issues with client data providers, including acting as an escalation point to ensure swift issue resolution (in conjunction with the data management team).
  • Establish differing standards for non-standard situations and drive these through to execution.
  • Support the wider data and technology & product teams to help shape and build future data products and propositions.
  • Actively demonstrate dunnhumby values and behaviours.
  • Lead the Tesco Technical Account Management team, lead on performance evaluations and ensure team members have individual development plans and the required training they need to succeed.
  • Manage risk effectively, provide visible and consistent leadership on Values and Code of Business Conduct and act where you see issues.
  • Protect our team by ensuring they have the skills and training needed including completing SLS.
