Job purpose
The role purpose is to develop, validate and scale dunnhumby’s Direct to CPG (D2CPG) propositions, working hands‑on with CPG clients to turn early‑stage ideas into scalable, commercial solutions. The Global CPG Solutions Delivery Senior Lead owns the end‑to‑end delivery of pilot programmes with selected CPG partners, acting as the primary client interface and bringing deep CPG understanding into how propositions are shaped, tested and taken to market. Working closely with the Global D2CPG Proposition Manager, Product, Commercial and Marketing teams, this role ensures CPG client needs, commercial realities and delivery considerations are embedded from the outset—driving propositions from pilot through to go‑to‑market readiness.
Key accountabilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of D2CPG pilot programmes with CPG clients, from planning to execution and close‑out.
- Act as the primary operational contact for CPG partners, building trusted client relationships throughout pilots.
- Bring strong CPG and commercial context into pilot design, delivery and decision‑making.
- Coordinate cross‑functional dunnhumby teams and external partners to deliver pilots effectively.
- Capture structured CPG client feedback and translate insights into actionable proposition and product improvements.
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies and stage‑gate approvals, escalating where required.
- Ensure product, proposition and commercial decisions are aligned through governance forums.
- Lead compliance processes, partner onboarding and data permissions required for CPG pilots.
- Support budget requests needed to deliver MVPs (e.g. research, testing, specialist capability).
- Contribute to go‑to‑market materials (pitch decks, pilot case studies), ensuring they clearly articulate CPG value.
- Work with Commercial teams to translate pilot learnings into business model and pricing inputs relevant to CPG clients.
What success looks like
- Strong ownership of outcomes in complex, multi‑stakeholder CPG pilot environments.
- Confidence operating as a credible partner to Commercial and Marketing teams within CPG organisations.
- Clear, pragmatic decision‑making grounded in CPG realities.
- The ability to move at pace while maintaining delivery quality.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset in evolving proposition contexts.
Qualifications & experience | What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in Marketing or Insights within a CPG organisation, or within an agency or consultancy working extensively with CPG clients.
- Strong understanding of CPG commercial models, marketing decision‑making and client realities.
- Extensive experience in project management and supporting early‑stage propositions, pilots or MVPs.
- Significant client‑facing experience with Commercial or Marketing CPG teams.
- Ability to influence across functions, seniority levels and global teams.
- A proactive, can‑do mindset with resilience to navigate ambiguity.
