As part of our Transformation team, you’ll bring your deep Consumer Packaged Goods expertise to the table to influence the future of collaborative planning between CPGs and Retailers.
What you’ll do:
- Be ‘the voice of the CPG’ – leveraging your commercial, go to market strategy, and process knowledge to champion and map the critical CPG processes, ways of working, and requirements that will enable a best-in-class collaboration model to achieve the ‘3-win’ for CPGs, Retailers & Customers.
- Draft the CPG’s view of the best-in-class CPG & Retail collaboration model for key joint business planning, range review, and promotion planning processes – turning inefficiencies into opportunities, converting co-planning from manual & offline to agile & data-driven.
- Support strategic Price, Promotion and Ranging workstreams within Tesco’s Transformation programme.
- Identify and scale new commercial opportunities for CPGs and Tesco, based on your proposals.
- Support pre-sales and client development activities alongside our Retail and CPG Client teams.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in a leading UK FMCG Consumer Goods manufacturer (essential).
- Experience in CPG functions including Commercial, National Accounts / Sales, Revenue Growth Management, Market Strategy & Planning, Sales & Operations Planning, Operational Excellence, in-house strategy consulting (essential).
- Proven detailed knowledge and (in)direct experience with UK grocery processes (ideally Tesco) on joint business planning, promotion nominations, range reviews and (ideally) annual brand planning (essential).
- Experience within retail buying, merchandising or trade planning (in any industry) desired but not essential.
- Strong understanding of Pricing, Promotions and Ranging in both retail and manufacturer settings.
- An understanding of the needs for both retailers and CPGs in a collaborative relationship and an ability to ‘connect the dots’ for mutual benefit.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
