As Head of Proposition Development, you will lead the organisation’s proposition design capability. This role is critical in defining how dunnhumby innovates, scales and commercialises new ideas.
You will:
- Test and validate new business ideas, shaping early stage propositions that will fuel future growth.
- Develop and evolve existing propositions to accelerate performance across our priority areas.
- Recommend how dunnhumby’s scalable, modular platform should evolve to meet new strategic opportunities.
- Act as a bridge between commercial strategy and experience architecture, ensuring platform development aligns with dunnhumby’s unique business model.
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with senior leadership to deeply understand dunnhumby’s business model and the wider retail/CPG ecosystem.
- Identify, validate and size new commercial opportunities, leading the end to end proposition design process.
- Work cross functionally with internal experts/client teams, service design, product, technology, strategy, and analytics to shape and test new propositions.
- Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous, early stage problems, creating actionable recommendations.
- Ensure platform design reflects the organisation’s strategic direction and the needs of new propositions.
You will bring:
- Exceptional strategic and commercial acumen, with experience evaluating markets, sizing opportunities and assessing competitive landscapes, likely gained in strategy consulting or similar roles.
- Advanced problem structuring and problem solving skills, with experience working alongside senior executives on complex challenges.
- Retail/CPG sector expertise, ideally with knowledge of category management, personalisation or retail media.
- Experience in a platform oriented organisation, collaborating effectively with product and technology leaders.
- Comfort in fastmoving environments, unlocking teams and accelerating delivery.
- A challenger mindset, shaping long term thinking on data, software and services strategy.
- The ability to act as a thought partner to senior leaders including the CEO, global client leaders, CPO, CTO and Heads of Product & Platform.
