We are seeking a proactive and self‑driven individual to join our team as Loss Prevention Officer. This role will be integral in supporting the Loss Prevention team in reducing shrinkage and improving the overall safety and security within our grocery and textiles retail store. The ideal candidate will need to be organised with the ability to work well in a fast and busy store.
Responsibilities:
- You will be supporting a positive customer experience within our stores by being a visible, friendly, approachable presence at our entrance doors and shop floor.
- Communicate with other members of the store team on suspicious behaviour/individuals using in store radios.
- Proactively deter and prevent anti-social behaviour, theft and criminal activity.
- Identify any high‑risk areas and act as a strong deterrent on the shop floor.
- Action daily, weekly and monthly checklists to ensure all security protocols are followed.
- Engage with store management to ensure the Security SOP and policies within stores are always adhered to.
- Be flexible and mobile, with the ability to work across multiple store locations as required by the business.
- Action any other duties as requested by the Store Manager / Loss Prevention Manager, including out‑of‑hours surveillance, auditing, and working across multiple store locations where required, to provide loss prevention support.
- Complete searches as per policy.
- Have an awareness of internal theft and report suspicious activity to Store Manager/Loss Prevention Manager.
