We’re looking for an experienced senior insurance professional to lead on claims management and support delivery of an effective insurance programme.
What You’ll Do
- Line manage a Claims Handler and oversee ~400 claims per year
- Drive performance of internal claims handling and manage a third‑party claims administrator (PI / claims over £25k)
- Maintain and improve the claims system and processes, ensuring accurate, timely data
- Produce regular MI reports, trend analysis, and financial insight to support renewals/tenders
- Investigate claims, assess liability, negotiate and authorise settlements up to £25k
- Audit claim files and ensure compliance with legislation/FOI/data disclosure
- Provide technical insurance advice and support risk management activity
- Build strong relationships with insurers, brokers, solicitors, adjusters, and partners
- Deputise for the Insurance Manager and lead policy tendering/management
