The predicted salary is between 11 - 13 £ per hour.

Pay rate: £14.36 p/h to £16.41 p/h (Pay will be dependant on experience, licences and tickets held)

Start date: ASAP

End date: 12 weeks (temp to perm)

Shift time: 06:30-15:00

Working days: Monday to Friday (overtime available)

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking various highway maintenance tasks, including carriageway and footway patching, kerbing, ironwork replacement, and drainage maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, including HGVs and small plant machinery, ensuring all checks and routine maintenance are complete.
  • Participate in winter and summer standby duties, including emergency callouts.
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and the team is paramount.
  • Keep accurate records and complete all necessary paperwork, maintaining communication and liaising with Amey employees, sub-contractors, emergency services, police, clients, and customers.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in roads and/or street works.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of Health and Safety regulations, always ensuring compliance.
  • Be self-motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous winter maintenance experience in a similar role is ideal.
  • An HGV Licence is preferred for this position, however, it is not essential.
