We are urgently recruiting for a Crane Operative to work with our client in the Knaresborough area of North Yorkshire. This is working with EFW (Energy for Waste). This is initially a 3 month contract but could go permanent for the right candidate. Full training will be provided.

Various Shifts Monday – Friday (8am – 4pm) and shift work, including both day and night shifts working 12 hours per shifts - 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily safety checks of machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Set up and operate cranes to safely move materials around the site
  • Coordinate closely with the banksman to maintain the highest level of site safety
  • Perform minor repairs on machinery as needed and report any significant issues to the supervisor
  • Maintain detailed records of materials moved and ensure travel routes are clear
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections in line with safety protocols
  • Keep comprehensive maintenance logs for all operated machinery
  • Monitor crane stability and load weights consistently
